I came to New Zealand in 1996 to lead the redesign of the National Property Database for Quotable Values. Followed that project with a few others in NZ and expanded to implementing enterprise manufacturing systems in USA and Asia Pacific, the same I done in South Africa prior to 1996. Each of the 20+ implementations had the removal of waste, in one form or another, as one of the objectives.
Since entering the New Zealand Health sector in 2012, I have seen more waste in various forms. At my last employer, Te Whatu Ora / Ministry of Health, I saw more waste in both the organisations and in the machinery of government. Successive councils have created waste that they no longer see, a new set of eyes is now needed; that is what I offer the voters in these local body elections.
I have seen the government gravy train in motion, across the world, Kapiti will be richer without it.
The Kapiti Coast community deserve better value for money.
It is time for a change, start asking the question; “What is the value benefit for Kapiti?”.
I ask the hard questions.
